Protection of Circulation Pumps in a Leachate Dispersion Unit
A methane producer needed to protect its circulation pumps feeding a leachate dispersion unit. The pumps transfer liquid taken from the digester bottoms and spray it over the organic substrate surface. However, the presence of solid waste such as branches and rags risked damaging the pumps, making a grinding solution necessary to reduce particle size for safe pumping and disposal.
