Progressing Cavity API 676 Pump

Theses pumps are the perfect combination between PCM expertise and API standards for rotary positive displacement pumps. PCM API 676 is an API compliant progressing cavity pump designed to provide the best fluid handling solutions. It features a highly modular design that makes installation, operation and service easier in many applications.

PCM API 676 progressing cavity pumps are an ideal choice to handle high viscosity, solids, low shear, or low NPSH applications. They can handle a wide range of fluids such as viscous fluids, sludges, fluids with suspended solids or fluids with free gas. PCM API 676 progressing cavity pumps are mostly implemented for energy (oil & gas) applications.

Quality, reduced costs and wastes

The American Petroleum Institute leads the development of standards for materials & equipment for use in the oil & gas industry. Its standards have been adopted worldwide for decades with the aims of enhancing technical integrity, improving safety, reducing environmental impact and improving business efficiencies, resulting in reduced costs for end users.

Advanced fluid management

PCM API 676 progressing cavity pump solutions can be adapted to each type of fluids and applications. Besides their low shearing effect, PCM API 676 PCP solutions transfer suspended solids or fluids with free gas. Their construction ensures a proportional flowrate and a non-pulsating flow. The numerous customization possibilities lead to efficiency and robustness. PCM Moineau™ A API 676 pumps are available in a range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex steel and super duplex steel to adapt to every fluid.

Additional API options and material certifications

The PCM A series pumps are built using PCM Moineau™ technology, invented by René Moineau, co-founder of PCM. A PCM Moineau™ pump is made up of a helical rotor that rotates within a helical stator. The rotor, made of metal, is precisely machined, while the stator is molded from a durable elastomer. As the rotor turns inside the stator, the cavity moves spirally along the pump’s axis, with neither its shape nor volume changing.

Options and accessories

API pumps keep all the standard pump features, with additional API options, including:

  • Standard options for API seal plans: API plan 02/61 (standard for horizontal pumps), 13/61 (standard for vertical pumps), 53A, 53B
  • Design rules for motor sizing and pressure rating
  • ANSI flanges
  • API base frame
  • Material test reports  available
